    This is great hat for backcountry use. Not too hot for mildly cold days. Protects from wind, which is important for preventing hypothermia. Super lightweight too. Can serve under another hat if needed. Not exactly a fashion statement, though.

    I like the ear flaps, light weight and windproof features. On the hat I received, the slide/lock doesn't catch. I like the hat enough that I'll deal with it. Not a fashionable hat but does the job and especially light weight for travel is important. I usually have to wear one hat on top of another for wind, but this works.
