About Outdoor Research Pinball Wool Mittens - Windstopper® (For Women)

Closeouts. You would love these mitts for their wooly warmth and posh pile linings even without the awesome Gore Windstopper® protection, but Outdoor Research's Pinball mittens have the advantage of naturally breathable warmth and a stealth membrane that blocks wind and cold.

Very warm and soft and fuzzy on the inside. A bit snug when I put them on but they won't fall off.

These mitts are nice and warm and the wind resistance actually works. They are a bit bulky but for walking or driving in really cold weather they definitely get the job done. The fleece lining is very soft. I wish the main area was a little tighter and the thumb was a little looser but it's not a dealbreaker - I'll be keeping these. The grey is a nice color, true to screen image.

I haven't had these long enough to give a testimonial in super cold weather, but can say that in 25 degree weather, the mittens are warm. I like the lining on the inside - it's soft. After having them for two weeks, I can say I like the mittens, but I am concerned about long-term wear. Specifically, I don't know if the knitting is tight enough that things won't get snagged in the material. I've already gotten my key ring caught, and my wedding ring got caught in the lining. Time will tell...

These are so pretty but I have 'wide' hands and even the large was too narrow. With all the insulation they fit tight so go up a size.

About Outdoor Research

The concept for Outdoor Research was devised in 1981 when climber Ron Gregg’s planned ascent of Denali was cut short, ending prematurely with his frostbitten partner being airlifted off a glacier. The cause was a faulty pair of gaiters. During his descent, Gregg resolved himself to create better gear, a resolution that soon led him to build the first pair of award-winning Outdoor Research gaiters. The concept was simple: Make outdoor apparel and gear with a clear focus on reliability. In the many years since, this brand has continued to blaze new trails with cutting-edge products that now include Outdoor Research gloves, jackets, backpacks and Outdoor Research hats, all engineered to exceed expectations in the most demanding conditions on the planet.
