Outdoor Research Proxy Ski Jacket - Waterproof Insulated (For Women)

I use it for snowshoeing and cold weather days.

I rated this before in a different color. So this response is for the one I got in blue.

NO experience yet to rate durability. Sleeves a bit long for me but length is true to the size of the jacket.

Incredibly light weight jacket with lots of deep pockets inside and out. Love the color and the contrast gives it style. The jacket fits a little tight at the hips but that will keep the cold out. Love this jacket.

I love my new OR Proxy Jacket! It seems to be a hybrid ski jacket- part durable ski coat, part buttery puffy coat. It's not overly puffy, and it is quite flattering. I ordered an XL because I have broad shoulders and wide hips; coat fit well with enough room for a few fitted layers. I have worn this around town and hanging out outdoors in the cold, but I haven't had a chance to take it skiing yet. It seems warm and breathable. I can squish it down fairly small and compact, a definite plus for camping/backpacking. I am a little worried about it's durability and waterproofing/water resistance, but I guess we'll see. Outdoor Research usually has very high quality products. The cut is flattering, but there aren't a lot of frills on this coat. It could probably use an extra chest pocket accessible from the outside, but I like it for it's simplicity.
