Outdoor Research Pursuit Pants (For Women)

Actually, I bought these pants for my girlfriend. She is a volunteer EMT at a local fire department and she wanted a pair of pants that were comfortable, light weight and easy to move in. She loves these pants because they do meet the above key characteristics and they seem really well made. She uses them as her EMT pants when she is on duty. She also wears these pants often when she goes on her jogs. The only thing she said that would make the pants even better is if they had zippers by the ankles.

Very comfortable pants. Breathable and water repellent. For cooler weather, another layer is needed underneath.

I bought these pants for my wife for Christmas, but not for hiking. She is currently at home with our two small children. I was looking for something for her that she could wear around while she's "on the job" that was spill-proof, spit-up-proof, tear-proof and pretty-much bomb-proof. She has a pair of Mammut-brand Capri-length hiking pants that she wears in the summer, but that aren't warm enough for the winter. I was looking for something for her that didn't look so obviously like hiking pants (for example, the many varieties of pants that zip-off into shorts), but had a lot of the same functionalities. So far, she's been very happy with these pants. She hasn't taken them off except to wash them for over a week. She says they are very comfortable, and she likes the zip pockets. The only comment might be that there could be one more discrete zip pocket on the side for a cellphone/blackberry/iPhone (the true "mother's little helper").

Love the elastic waistband. Wrinkle resistant, two zippered pockets, durable fabric, easy to wash and dry, comfortable, water repellent - it's ideal for travel, hiking.

These pants have a great fit with just the right amount of give for comfort while hiking or sitting as well as being very well made.

These pants look slim and stylish in photo, but actually fit like baggy pants. While roominess is comfortable, they could be more tapered and still comfortable.

Great pants for many uses, nice looking too.
