    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    The shorts are light weight, dry fast and a good color. Really like the shorts but the velcro fly is a bit odd. The velcro is short so it doesn't cover the entire fly like a zipper would. If the shorts are baggy on you then the velcro is fine but if they are a bit tight then the fly doesn't lay as nicely and there is a bit pulling.

    The shorts are very comfortable, light and great for traveling. They do show every extra bulge or figure flaw so they might be best for those who are trim. The velcro fly works but I wish there was a bit more velcro and then the shorts would be perfect.

    LOVE these shorts but the 31 waist felt kinda tight and I usually wear a 30-31... I think it was due to the elastic and stretch in the waist and entire shorts. I would recommend going a size bigger! Sending mine back in and crossing my fingers for a new shipment of 32 waist.

    The shorts are stretchy and very lightweight. Construction is of very high quality, like all OR gear. They don't offer much protection for climbing, but that's what I'll use them for anyway because they are minimally restrictive. The closure offers both a snap and a string to tie when you need to be sure the won't come off. They seem to be designed for hiking, paddling, surfing, etc.
