Outdoor Research Seasons Hoodie Sweatshirt - Fleece (For Women)

Purchased the plum color, in size medium. At 5'6, 140 lbs, overall fit was good. Not really fitted, loose but not baggy. However, did not suit my needs. I do a lot of outdoor work in the high sierras, and I was looking for a warm, durable full zip hoodie to either wear as my outer layer in dry fall/spring conditions or a layering piece during winter. Was hoping to get something warm, moderately tough, but still cute enough to wear outside of work. Pros: good fit, rather durable, smooth face. Large, adjustable hood that looks big enough to be climbing-helmet compatible. Cons: Despite a microfleece lining, this is just too thin to expect much warmth when you need it. It might be ok for a colder indoor environment, or a cool summer night outside, but not much else. As for style points, well... color was much darker than the picture online, and the graphic designs are kind of cheesy (makes this hoody look more appropriate for a 12 year old girl rather than an adult) Returned, but not too bummed - STP has an awesome and easy return policy/process!

Love this sweatshirt, it is thick and warm, good for chilly but not freezing weather. The purple color is fabulous! Not too bright. Bought one for my daughter (14) and one for me in the small. I am 5ft 4in tall and weigh around 125. Reminds me of a beach style...but works in the country and city.

As for fit, I'm 4'11" and 94 lbs., and the XS fits great without being too tight. The sleeves are a tad long, but what's new given my size? Ditto perspective: the length when pulled down reaches the bottom of my bottom. I didn't check things like "doesn't breathe", "not waterproof" as "cons" because I wasn't expecting that of a "sweatshirt" to begin with. That said, I have worn it out in between snow falls while doing some mild stuff, like getting snow off the truck and running errands and am comfortably warm, but would not expect to stay dry inside if doing really aerobic stuff. As for camping and hiking uses, it's more for the camping and maybe light hiking on a cool day with a skimpy underlayer. I think the style is great - just enough to be tastefully different. The fabric is very soft and really comfortable. I often wear this over just a tank top or technical camisole. Having first bought this item in plum and loved it, I just got one in black, and am a happy camper.

Great all around sweatshirt! Impressed with the design, stitching/seams, and overall quality of fabric. Not a cheapo sweatshirt! Ordered plum and went back and ordered black. Was concerned with the first review, wondering if the sweatshirt would be thin, but I think it was just the wrong match for that user (it's definitely not a heavy duty "Sierra Mountain" worthy sweatshirt, but it will do great by this "walk the dogs" kinda girl!). I'm 5'4", 135lbs and got the medium - it fits great.
