The gloves are warm I've had them out several times with a average outdoor temp in teens. The problem is the internal insulation layer fits poorly within the glove. When you take your hand out then have to put it back in its difficult and getting it to fit well again is very difficult. Should you need to take your hand out multiple times it becomes very frustrating. The dexterity is also low in these gloves. Not worth full price no were near it. But if you get it them cheap its ok.

Looks like a well made product but it doesn't appear heavy enough to truly be an expedition glove. Also the inner liner appears loosely attached and I suspect getting the glove off with wet hands without inverting the fingers will be a chore. Might work well as a X/C ski glove with a light liner? Very nicely constructed with good wrist and cuff cinches.

I have used these gloves for years and decided to get a spare pair for when they eventually get discontinued (like all awesome gear does!!). Best uses are for mountaineering (climbed Mt. Hood and had ZERO cold fingers or problems!), and back country snow camping. The extended gauntlet covers your wrist and partway up your forearms to protect against snow getting in and can be cinched closed easily. It really does not get any better than these gloves. Buy TWO before you can't get 'em anymore!!
