Overland Equipment Placer Bag

I have the bigger version of this bag and love it. I purchased this one as a travel purse for a trip that my daughter is taking. It's got plenty of places for small things as well as a good sized main compartment for things like her camera.

I was looking for a bag just big enough to carry essentials- cash, cards, glasses, lipstick, tissue, & keys, but small enough to drop in the tote I carry back & forth to work. This bag is just perfect. My tote is for files, lunch, etc., but, I wanted something small and light-weight for errands. This bag is perfect and the strap adjusts to a length long enough to carry it cross-body. The construction is excellent and it is made in the USA. If I had purchased this bag while other colors were still available, I would have one in every color.

Using this on a trip to the Philippines to keep valuables close. I can see using this on hikes with my dogs to keep cell phone, keys, snacks and dog treats - lots of different places to keep things.

It's bigger than I'm used to, fits cell, sunglasses, many cards, klenexx, candy, lip stuff, digi camera and more (lots of features). I took this on a trip with me right out of the package and it preformed great! I'm guessing I'll have it with me always now. A big change for me as I'm not really a purse kinda girl.

Good way to keep hands free on an excursion, when you still want to bring along a few things. Non-intrusive carrying method. Good gift for someone who insists on carrying things in pockets and then loses them.

I haven't used this bag yet, but it seems well made and is a good size.

I use this as my primary purse. It's the perfect size to hold wallet, checkbook, cell phone, keys, tissues, lip balm, plus a few other items. The front pocket has a velcro seal, so I probably wouldn't put anything important in there if I were concerned about pickpockets.

I love the small size of this bag, yet it holds an amazing amount of stuff. I can't believe the black one is the only one left! The most versatile color of all. The old logo that this one sports is classy, but Overland replaced it with a name tag - so I recommend the old style (this one). I can spot an Overland bag (and I have 7 or 8) in a heartbeat with this logo. I loved my Placer so much that I bought 2 more in case something happens to one, although Overland will repair any bag with it's lifetime warranty. The only thing I would change is the hook/loop closure, which could be stronger.
