Oxford Blue Avon Jacket - Cotton (For Women)

Much nicer than I expected. I will be able to wear it for years. Perfect for most seasons in the mountains! Great buy.

Although I read the other reviews about this jacket being bulky, I wear a size 12-14 and often have trouble getting the size right. I figured if I ordered a 12 and it fit more like a 14, that would be ok. But the 12 fits more like a 16-18. And the shape is straight (nothing fitted about it) and not attractive.

Great everyday coat for transition from cool to warm (and vice versa) seasons. Nice quality, well-constructed. Not as "waxy" as my Barbour coat, but the blue color is nice and versatile -- can wear with jeans or slacks.

Sometimes, I help at a farm...good, functional coat. Warm....very large!! Not at all trim fit. I like the wax fabric, ample pockets. Will be handy for dog walking in damp NW. Pretty color, plum. Not at all dressy....highly handy for general use.

This coat is extremely well-made, with warm, soft full flannel lining. However I had to return it because I was expecting it to run small like another English brand I know, and I usually wear a medium in everything, but this one runs very large; a medium is most definitely a size 12. If you wear a size 12, you will easily fit into a size medium! It was four sizes too big for me!

This coat is very attractive for a waxed coat.Most of them are really stiff and smell awful. I did think the sleeves were just a little too short, but still wearable.

This jacket is very well made. It is not a good looking jacket but it is practical, functional, comfortable and warm. It looks like a great jacket to go for walks, maybe do some yard work, go food shopping, running errands, wear in the rain, etc. It is a very comfortable jacket to move in. I read the reviews and some people objected to the lining. I actually like the lining because it is what gives the jacket warmth, other than the waxed cotton. Perhaps the plaid flannel part of the lining isn't super great looking but it is definitely not cheap. Cheap flannel pills and makes a mess but this one does not. The lining of the sleeves is quilted nylon which is quite nicely made. I was initially concerned about the color, I could only get it in plum and I am not usually fond of purple but this plum color is quite nice, a lot darker than the way it appears on the website, definitely a very nice and versatile color. I may return the jacket due to being too big for me. It is particularly big over the shoulders and upper back which kind of balloons out due to excess fabric. A smaller size is not available for me.

This is a lovely lovely jacket for the price - I purchased the plum and the color is a lovely purple with blue highlights where the wax is darker. The style is perfect, with nice contrasting and functional pockets in and out and a warm collar. Too bad this jacket fits 2 sizes too large. I wear a Medium ( 8 to 10 ) and purchased a Small in this jacket after reading the other reviews and it is still very loose - an Extra Small would have been perfect. Even so, I loved the style and color so much I've kept the jacket and it sits in the back of my car ready in case of a car breakdown that requires much hiking in the snow and rain - this jacket would definitely hold up.

Excellent quality. Nice styling with the various materials used. Like the inside pocket.This will make a good travel jacket.

Great coat, just a bit bigger than I was expecting, but then again, can add a sweater underneath!
