Oxford Blue Gamekeeper Coat (For Men)

Zipper on the left side is not natural for mens US based clothing. Additionally, the zipper does not open or close easily.

I know a wax finished coat can be oily feeling but this is ridiculous plus it smells oily. I considered rinsing it to see if it improved but returned instead. I was concerned that the finish would damage my truck seats or items it touched in the closet. Even the bag it was in was oily inside and stuck together when the coat was removed.

Based on the other feedback I ordered a size smaller. It still was like a tent. Too bad, looked like a nice jacket.

Listen to the reviews on size. I wear a 38 in barbour (small). A small in this jacket fits like a true large. Too bad because I really like the quality and the price is great. If it fits, it is a steal. For me it is a disappointment!

Key point is to buy a size smaller than you wear. I have not fit in a Medium Coat in 20 years, but that size fits me great. It is a very warm coat, and it is waterproof. This is a Great Coat!

Advertised as Oxford Blue. The sewn-in label says "Peregrine", and the hangtag says Peregrine is a brand name of JG Glover. Not sure if they're all the same or whether I got a switched product. I do have another coat I bought in Ireland and actual sewn-in tag is Oxford Blue, so I think this company does exist. All that said, the coat matches the description and photo, and seems of high quality.

I haven't had a coat with a game pouch before - so let me describe it. It is a large pocket/tunnel in the bottom edge of the back of the coat, lined with the same material as the outer layer (easy to clean) with zipper entries at both left and right sides. Another note: the sleeves have snug knit cuffs, rather than cuffs that can be loosened or closed tight around your wrist. This is warmer, but not adjustable. An excellent coat, very practical and versatile.

I think the coat is cut a little large to be worn over a sweater but I am still very happy with it.

I originally ordered a large but sent it back for a medium. I'm glad I did because I have worn this lightweight but warm and utilitarian jacket every day since. I have received many compliments! [...] the jacket came exactly as I expected. PS..reviews work, I took advice from other reviewers to order down. This jacket rivals in every way the Barbour equivalent and looks better in black than the British Racing Green version.Thanks for carrying this brand, its great.
