High Quality-Stylish-Warm-Waterproof! By Girl Seeking Warm & Stylish Feet from Naperville, IL on 11/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's so hard to find a warm, waterproof, cold weather boot with a dressier styling. This one fits the bill. I've owned a similar pair of Blondo shoe-boots for many years, and they finally need to be replaced. I've liked them so much, I went right back to the brand. The claim of being both waterproof and warm is absolutely true...and the quality is remarkable for the price (even at full retail)! I fully expect these boots to also last many years.
The styling is a bit trendy, with the wedge heel. I would have preferred a lower heel, as I feel more secure on slippery surfaces when my foot is flat...but that's a personal preference. Have not had snow or ice yet upon which to test the traction, but the soles seem well designed for it. The boot is extremely attractive and has all the features I was expecting. They're not clunky or bulky, they can be worn with dress pants as well as jeans or ski-pants...and even with skirts & tights, if you like that look. I also like that the ankles are well covered, which makes these potentially even warmer than my last pair, which were cut lower. Also, the zipper makes the boots extremely easy to get on and off, as well as sleek, secure and unfussy. (And don't worry about the functionality of the zippers...I never had problems with the zippers on my old pair of Blondo boots.)

The top of the boot is a little tight, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. The fit is true to size and I was surprised at the immediate comfort I felt when I slipped it on.
