By Kris from Palm Desert on 01/03/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered an xs in pink. The color is bright but still nice. The sleeves are plenty long (I'm 5'7) but the shirt comes in at about the belly button. Too short for the style now days.
Warmest Winter Base or Mid-Layer By Dad the Gear Expert from Deering, NH on 12/24/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Washes Easily Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this shirt for one of my daughters. She just about lived in this shirt after an ice storm that knocked out our power on 11 DECEMBER here in NH. We were 12 days with no power, with 3 snowstorms and below freezing weather in the aftermath of the ice storm. It kept her warm, whether she was doing homework by the light of a lantern, shovelling snow, or playing outdooors.
My wife, both daughters, son, and I all own Powerstretch tops and bottoms. It is the warmest base layer we can wear, and it can be worn alone as an outer layer in more moderate weather, if the wind is not too high. After going 12 days with no power and no showers, I think that we will be buying a second set of Powerstretch for everyone in the family!
