Great jacket for hiking to stay dry By fred the hiker from seattle wa. on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket is about the best for hiking that I've had because it stays dry. Two hours ago took it out in wa. st. in a pinnaple express rain storm on a 5 mile hike and did not get wet. Thats great. If it were more breathable it would leak so I think.
By Portland Vagabond from Portland, OR on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great jacket and I was completely happy with the fit, and the great materials that Lowe put into the jacket. BUT...there are no pockets for your hands. I returned the jacket. Two chest pockets are great for items storage, but are worthless if you want to stuff your hands into a warm pocket. The venting zips are unique and not in the usual underarm area, rather on the back of the sleeves. Very nice, but w/o the hand pockets, not what I wanted.
