I hope the open legs at the shoe won't bother me. I am used to having some way to tighten this part of my rain pants. And I wish they were roomier for layering. I will find out this summer on vacation in a very wet place. But they look like they will be fine. don't know yet if I'd recommend them or not.

I guess in certain situations (really windy slopes) you may not hear them, but on quiet walks, skating, or during lunch after skiing, they're loud in a strange way.
