Get Help Installing Great Backyard Tent By potama from Carlsbad, NM on 04/15/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Roomy Cons: Install is not easy, Needs TwoThree People Best Uses: Great Hangout Area, Great Spa Cover, Outside, Patio Furniture Cover Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The trick to this tent is to buy it on sale, find a permanent location in the back yard, and install the tent with some help. This is not an up and down kind of car travel tent. If you are looking for a great spa cover or place to sit outside protected from the sun or rain then this is the tent for you. I recommend that you place cinder blocks on top of the ground stakes if you live in a very windy area (6 blocks). Our tent has been up a year and has with stood 60 mph wind gusts.

By Mike from Fort Mill, SC on 12/29/2008 Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: [...] I took a chance since I did not care about the weight of the tent. However, this is probably the worst designed product I have ever seen. First, it is extremely heavy. That would be ok, but it is incredibly difficlt to put togeather. There is no way that most women could erect this. The sliding poles are simply too difficut to adjust given the tension of the tent. Second, you have to stake the tent before erecting. Hope you have a soft spot. Also, there is no floor and the storage bag is too small for the tent. It seems to be somthing that was designed in the 1970's. Save yourself the time and effort to send this back, and do NOT purchase it.
