Go out there and surf the web to see how much the Milano really costs. Yes, the leather is stiff AT FIRST, but just manually bend all leather components and they loosen immediately. I have many other Birkenstocks but never had a pair with a backstrap - LOVE these! Don't hesistate to buy them.

I wore them right out of the box all day and they were fine (thought I would need a breaking in period). They actually make my feet look slender. By the way, I normally wear a size 6 shoe and these fit perfectly.
