They don't seem to wear out other than tread which typically lasts 500 miles + on rocky trails behind our house. These shoes don't tear or show any other wear with time. They are very light weight and comfortable and really need no break-in time.

Although they are trail runners I got them as approach shoes. The traction is fantastic and they are very comfortable - even after a two-hour bushwack approach in extremely varied terrain.
