Nice Design, Tight Fabric and Too Big ! By MK from Bozeman, MT on 10/09/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Waaaay back in distant memory I recall Mountain Hardwear making women's jackets in sizes, like Isis: 4, 6, 8...and so on. Or at least I think they did. Unfortunately I am cursed with being in between a small and a medium with this and many other popular brands.
As other reviewers comment, the sleeves are disproportionately long. But, some prefer that so you don't expose wrists when arms are extended up or out on handlebars.
Anyway, I'll sadly be returning it, and back to my quest for a stylish Windpro fleece jacket I can wear about town. No doubt the S would be too tight under my armpits. Never fails.
Good luck!
Ideal proportions, at last! By in motion from Portland, OR on 08/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Beautiful material, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Outdoor activities Describe Yourself: Athletic, Career, Casual, Classic Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Apparently I am the woman of strange proportions for whom this jacket was made (wide shoulders, long arms, slim torso). It is great to have a staple jacket like this fit my shoulders and arms without hanging loosely around my body. If you match this description and are looking for a great midweight jacket, your search is over!
By Renee the Skier from Westminster on 08/19/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic, Eclectic, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This light weight jacket has a flattering cut with a high collar and a long arm length. It looks great. But be warned, it's cut for someone with long arms having mostly an athletic build. I have very long arms, so the sleeves worked for me, having a length that hits between my wrist and fingers. I like this feature because the sleeves will keep my hands warm even if I don't wear gloves. The jacket will work for mild to cool temperatures during the summer, fall, and spring.
