By UpStateShoper from Cold Upstate New York on 10/17/2009 Pros: Stable, Warm, Well Made Describe Yourself: High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So I took the site's advice and ordered a half size larger--and i ended up with boots that were too long.. Don't be misled--these boots run true to size. However, they probably fit best if you have skinny ankles. The boots look better in person than on the web. They have a more tapered look, but still have a big toe box. The heel is stable, and the soles are a flexible rubber. The only defect is that the lining is some kind of stiff synthetic mesh that could rub against the ankle and chafe if your socks aren't thick enough. My other pair in this brand has a soft, padded lining, and I much prefer that to the cheaper scratchy lining in this boot. Great boot for the price, though.
stylish boots for bad weather By busy mom and wife from Fairfax Station, VA on 10/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Looking good in weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed dressier boots to wear with slacks this winter. Many reviewers complained that this boot had a tight, narrow fit. I have narrow heels and my feet just flop around in many winter boots, but these fit me perfectly. They don't feel as comfy as your running shoes, but they are just what I wanted...stylish and practical for winter weather. They look durable and well-made. No blisters or pain the first time worn. If you are undecided between two sizes, I recommend the larger. I wear 8 or 8 1/2, and the 8 1/2 is what I needed. With a bit more arch support, I'd give them the 5th star.
By cate from Michigan on 06/24/2009 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are very cute but way too tight in the ankle. I was so disappointed, but I had to return them because there was absolutely no way I could wear them. My feet and ankles are pretty narrow, and I have never had this problem before. Also, my boots arrived in a different brand label box. Weird.
