Very Confortable, but kind of bulky... By Tea Time from New York, NY on 10/31/2009 Pros: Absorb shock heel, Breathes Well, Comfortable, Stable, Warm, Well Made Cons: A little larger, Bulky Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Good quality searcher, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They are very comfortable, the bottom of the boots including the heels have great shocker absorb.First time trying out Josef Seibel and I'm impressed with its well made. A lot lighter weight compared to other boots that I have worn. Only thing is that its size is a little larger, so you may want to order half a size smaller. Since my feet is size 5, and that is the smallest size available, I just have to wear a little thicker hiking type of socks or double layered tights when wearing. Some other reviews mention that around the calf area feels thinner etc. I personally don't find that at all. It is rather larger size around the feet and it has enough room around ankle and calf as well. Since its waterproofed, I wear them in the rain, and they are fine and great. I'm pleased to find a good quality women shoes brand.

I'm wearing them around the house, hoping they'll stretch a little bit. I've always stood by Seibel's, they're my only work shoe as I manage a restaurant and am on my for 10 hours a day.
Not for really wide calves By Lemony from Pasadena, MD on 03/10/2009 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable, Unstable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots look good and are the style I wanted to wear with jeans and skirts, but the cut is not right for a really wide calf. My wider calf is 14" and did not fit in this boot. The ankle part of the boot's shaft has a lot of seaming and makes for a very stiff boot. I decided to try the boots based on a review from someone else with wide calves who said they were just right. They were not just right for me. Overall, though, they are nice boots, and I'd have liked to have been able to keep them.
