By Adrenaline Junkie from Lambertville, Michigan on 06/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Easy On and Off, Good Traction, Great Fit, Lightweight Best Uses: Boating, Casual Wear, Kayaking, Rafting, Sailing, Wading Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: LOVED this as a water shoe for WW rafting & kayaking! Hiking=NO (unless you have socks)! Wore these on an approximately 15-20 mile hike through Hawaii's Big Island where we crossed a river, stream, beach, many hills and wooded/muddy trails. My two complaints are: Heel strap slipped loose occassionally, needing periodic adjustments to re-tighten. As we were in/out of water, didn't have socks on and the tops of my feet were rubbed raw. Also, during this hike and a canoeing adventure, when getting into mud, the sand/pebbles got trapped, adding to the chafing. Hoping to find some neoprene-based socks to try as they were very comfortable, felt like a tennis shoe, even over the long distance, if you could just eliminate the top rubbing.
So good...I bought a second pair. Great for those days when I'm not sure if I'm walking or kayaking.
