When the box arrived, he opened it, tried it on. It fit beautifully. Needless to say, it didn't make it under the tree!

Only complaint is the fact that I listened to another reviewer who said that it runs small and ended up "hedging" by ordering one size too large. It runs EXACTLY to size, hence, now a bit big. Not end of world, but will have to suck up ~$50 to have it tailored...ergh...my fault.
