It isn't obtrusive, just a little something to lift them out of the ordinary.
The fabric is relatively substantial, so I'm not sure I'm wearing these in August. But for now it's spring and I'm loving them.

The fabric is awesome. Cotton, but with a nice subtle herringbone pattern. Makes it dressier than you average pair of, say, chinos.
That said, the fit is geared more toward your traditional style. I dunno what the rise is, but it seemed unusually long (especially if you prefer pants that sit lower on the waist).
