By Tim from Colorado on 11/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore this jacket during an ascent of a 14er in the winter. Winds on the summit were 40+ and this jacket kept the wind off of me and I kept completely warm the whole time. This jacket is great at 14000 ft.
Great Price For A Quality Softshell By MAK from Ithaca, NY on 11/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding, Snowshoeing Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't worn it in the field yet, but it seems ideal for snowshoeing, so I look forward to trying it out for that. But it is a great lightweight shell to throw on in the fall or over a athletic fit fleece in the winter. This soft-shell has an athletic fit, so it is a bit more form fitting than others you might find. But it fits well (snugly) over one of my less bulky fleece jackets quite well (or over a wool sweater). For the price, you can't beat it. I'm not too sure about the water resistance or the wind resistance factor yet, but will test that out soon.
