Finicky detail but still tough as nails. The cotton/nylon blend feels more soft like cotton than hard/slick like nylon and not prickly like cordura. Wears quiet like cotton too--I forget that there's anything but cotton in it. But the nylon gives it an abrasion resistance that I've been testing in hot windy conditions at altitude in the desert. Very tough wearing. Also the ventilation really works. I've worn this at length in 100 deg heat for protection against wind and blowing sand, and the jacket stays surprisingly cool inside. Also rolls up fairly small for stuffing in the pack.
Surprisingly useful casual jacket--has a bush jacket look without the empire effect. But also very functional for tough outdoors.
