good rain shell for the sale price By Rainwalker from Livermore, CA on 11/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm glad I heeded another reviewer's comments and bought a size larger -- the jacket runs a bit small through the chest. The extra length is a plus. I bought this to be a lightweight, packable shell (with a hood & pockets) for rain (hiking, plus travel to Great Britain next year), which I can layer other clothes underneath or stow in a pack, and I think it's perfect for that. The Butterscotch color I originally ordered was actually rainslicker yellow, so I exchanged it for the true red, which is pretty. Note the pockets are velcro-closure, not zipped, which was fine with me.
By Thelma outdoor from Philadelphia, PA on 10/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Versitle, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Weekend warrior Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket to take on a trip overseas. I wanted something light, that I could layer or wear on it's own that was also decent looking. This jacket fits the bill. I am a woman's large and ordered a L and an XL after reading the reviews. The large was fine and I can fit a medium weight fleece underneath. I would recommend the jacket for those looking for an all season, waterproof, travel friendly yet stylish outer layer.
