It's sturdy canvas--and unyielding By OCULUS from Rensselaer, NY on 07/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Distinctive Leather trim, Great Color, Sturdy fabric Cons: Bulky, No-wash leather trim, Uncomfortable bulk Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Though others expressed reservation about the belt at the back, I tried it. I discovered that it's not so much the belt, but the bulk of the full-canvas back. When you gather the belt to snug the waist, all that sturdy canvas, rather than a satin back, bunches up in the small of your back. I suspect the XL I ordered is made to cover larger waists than mine, but still, it would take years of wear (no washing with leather trim) to break in that stiff canvas. Nice looking though.

I took it to a taylor and had them match the leather trim colour, and had them added. The vest is terific
