I gave away long ago and had missed it since. The Andrew Marc version is excellent, a fine wool blend twill and very comfortable ("softer" and perhaps less weighty than my original - but this has it's advantages, too). This is perfect, age-refined styling and versatility - wear it casually with a turtleneck or shirt, jeans or khakis, dress it up some with slacks, or wear it traveling and for going out and having fun (and staying warm at the same time). I think one could find the nautical design buttons at a fabric shop if it were important to change out the smooth black buttons on this coat to look like the original issue version.

The buttons came loose within the first week of wear. I took it to the cleaner's and she reinforced all of the buttons.
I haven't had a worry since and am very warm.
