I ordered up a size as suggested (a 12 instead of a 10); and even though I'm broad in the beam, I was able to slide these off and on without unfastening. Exchanging for a smaller size was easy, and the 10's fit much better.

I found this to be bad advice. I usually wear size 8 so ordered size 10. The pants are not huge, but I wish I had stayed with size 8 as I have to wear a belt with them or they feel like they are falling off.
