I ride 11 months out of the year and this vest works great for cold weather (35 degrees and up) and is roomy enough to wear a hooded sweater underneath. and when it does get wet the water just beads of it. no complaints

The vest (even without sleeves) is warm. If you are a slender guy, the waist of the vest is not going to be snug, which can let wind cool your belly; however, the bulky design can fit all manner of flannel beneath. The design allows layering, has a comfortable collar, and should last for years.
