By Josie from Richmond, VA on 11/19/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Even smallest size huge Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Comments: Generally I only order pants in petite sizes, but these pants were advertized as fitting below the waist and came in a small size. My pants (the smallest size) were at least 4 inches too long and several inches too big around the waist. The fabric is nice, so I'll hem and take them in. Recommendation: order a size smaller than you usually wear.
By SC lawyer from Columbia, SC on 11/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Definitely order a size larger unless you are very slim-hipped. These pants are rather "boy cut" and may not appeal to women over age 40.
Nice Summertime Hiking pants By Hiking Girl from Dixie on 11/17/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm keeping these although they are a little too small. They are lightweight and are more suitable for summertime hiking as opposed to the late fall trip I just went on. I think they would be great for keeping the bugs off, and being able to convert them to shorts when needed. Also seem like they would dry very quickly if they got wet. Hopefully I'll get a chance to wear them next spring/summer...if I can lose 5 lbs or so!
