I ordered it because it is "midweight". It is thinner than I had expected. I was hoping that it would be a lot thicker to keep warm in the Winter time. The material feels cool, which is not ideal when the weather is cold outside. It doesn't keep me as warm as I would like. This is something that I can use all year round, except in the Summer time when it gets too hot. I do recommend this item. Just don't rely on it keeping you very warm.
