Great comfy boots for the outdoor woman! By Outdoor Mommy in Maine from Harrison, Maine on 02/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Snowshoeing, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are a great addition to my winter gear for cold, snow covered Maine. I was immediately pleased as these boats have a foot bed that feels as comfy as a sneaker. The boots are tall enough to mantain good coverage in deep snow. The only reason I didn't give these boots 5 stars is the fact that the black suede accents on the tongue bled onto the off white material on first use causing discoloration.
Decent choice for winter weather By ColoradoShopper from Colodrado Springs, CO on 02/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are good for stomping around in cold and snow. They're not the most stylish of footwear, but they look decent with jeans and are acceptable at the office for casual dress.
good traction, supportive, lightweight By BizzyGransy from Central Wisconsin on 01/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Snowshoeing, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are comfortable and nice for active outdoor use, my feet got a little cold while just standing around, but were toasty while snowshoeing. They are a little stiff, which I like as it feels more supportive while snowshoeing. I found out they have very good traction when I accidently used them to go out to feed my horses. My Kodiaks are much more slippery. These Salomons do look big and clunky but I think they're a good value.
