The combination of long sleeves with a short, cropped jacket length is a stylistic error. And the sleeve ribbons (not embroidery) just draw attention to this mismatch. I also bought the matching pants, and the jacket is not even long enough to overlap the waistline of the pants. However, the price is unbeatable for a quality linen suit separate, so I kept it and splurged on tailoring to shorten the sleeves to elbow length, matching the jacket hem length, and removing the ribbons.
