By Bill From Spokane from Spokane, Washington on 02/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: While clearly unsuitable for sedentary use in really cold conditions, the Commander Mills jacket is a stylish addition for most winter days during brisk walks or other active use.
By beeper from Rhinelander, Wi on 02/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Cons: Inadequate Protection Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my 11 year old son. We nearly returned it when we received it. It seems to have no insulation and living in Northern Wisconsin that is a definite drawback. However, my son likes it and insists that it is warm. I still have my doubts. There appears to be no insulation in the sleeves and very little in the body of the jacket. How it keeps him warm is beyond me.
Not quite what I expected By MJ from Albany, NY on 02/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Windproof Cons: Inadequate Protection Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Returning due to lack of insulation in the sleeves. This jacket would be good for Spring skiing, but not bitter cold Eastern skiing. Cool style, but felt a little big in the mid section. Probably cut for additional layering.
