The fabric is a substantial cotton lycra blend that holds up well. It is an attrative top and I regret not buying the pants that went with it while they still had them in my size.

The embroidery adds a nice touch. The previous rater described this tank as having a shelf bra. I disagree wholeheartedly. There is a line of stitching that runs just under the bust or along the lower portion of the bust. There is no shelf bra inside the tank. I will, personally, wear a strapless bra with it or a regular bra in black.
