My daughter assured me these both catagories. (I was not sure I could wear these with a formal dress.) I love this brand. I have difficult feet that are hard to fit but this brand has been great. The only drawback is the price.

They have an open toe and my big toe came right out of it. Too bad! I sent them back and couldn't exchange since I'm at the upper most end of sizing.
