More durable than it looked By Hiker Chick from Cambridge, MA on 08/22/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is actually an update on the trail wear of the 2nd clutch polo I ordered. The first one I bought (in white) was exchanged, because it stained too easily and did not clean up well. The blue color is much better. Yes, for some reason the synthetic wicking fabric seemed to get smelly very quickly (especially when it was new). But I was really impressed at how easily the smelliness rinsed out with just some lake water, how quickly the shirt dried afterward, and how tough it was against hard trail and pack abrasion. After a weeklong backcountry hike mostly wearing this shirt on the trail, the only thing to show it's not a brand new shirt is one single snag on the back (that I was able to pull through to the backside), probably acquired from an errant thorn while washing in the river on rocks. And it was not from lack of trying to destroy it! Tough, tough shirt. Also wicks sweat well, and gives good sun protection with the collar. The long snap placket also adds a convenient ventilation option. I came here to buy another one now that our trip is over, but they don't have my size right now.
By Traveler from RI on 06/13/2009 Pros: High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Exercise, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Fabric looked like it would be very cool. Holes in knit are 1mm+. Sized up, but still uncomfortably tight. Had to return.
By Tripleransom from NoVA on 05/28/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Lightweight, Pretty color Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities, Sports, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fits great. Enough room in the shoulders and sleves so it doesn't pull. Length is just right.
