By ROG from Troll Capital of the World on 08/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Sturdy, Windproof Cons: Inadequate tent stakes Best Uses: Canoeing, Car camping, Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the best family/group tent that I have ever used. I bought the attic and footprints. It provides separate rooms for parents/kids or couples. It has been the bomb shelter for friends in other tents on MULTIPLE occasion during rain/wind storms. The internal tents are removable making it possible to cook in the tent on the ground w/o flame damage to the tent. As well as, flipping the tents inside out to clean out sand/dirt. There are pockets all over and with the attic you can dry/clip/hang stuff everywhere. The stuff sack is a compression/duffle/backpack rolled into one. It is too big for backpacking but excellent for car/canoe camping. It will be a sad day when this tent is expired.
Well made, wonderful design By Jottoh from Beaverton, OR on 05/17/2009 Pros: Cool cargo pockets, Great Quality, Lots of tie-outs, Privacy for 2 couples, Sturdy when pitched Cons: Kinda spendy, Needs substantial pegs Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for extended stays or when the big storm hits. Remember to use all those tie outs as this is a biog tent. A tarp makes a great fllor protector for the center OR the side-rooms. A folding table and chairs fit nicely in the main room. Use some military surplus aluminum pegs to really stake this big tent out. The lightweight pegs it comes with are nice but for a smaller tent.
By cco from willits on 04/23/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this tent and set it up in the yard. Strangest thing, the floor is not sealed, meaning the sides and floor are NOT connected. And, when you remove the internal "bedrooms" the floor of the tent does not reach all the way to the side of the tent, so you have two places where the ground comes right through. Imagine critters and bugs of all kinds sneaking in through the floor. Yikes! Returned it immediately.
