We traveled from the Amazon basin to the Andes. I used these socks everytime I hiked, or traveled where we thought shoes would be necessary. I only had three pairs, and to my surprise I needed to wear my shoes more than my chacos. It was a little chiller than expected. These socks got washed once while on our trip (closer to the end!), and were wore more than four times each... and hardly stank at all! I was very impressed, But I do have to say that my smartwool socks did a little better, but for the price, I'll take these any day!
