I Wouldn't Call it Canvas By Peregrino from NH on 10/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities, Work Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shirt is a very nice, lightweight cotton fabric that, while not what I expected, is fine for what it is. It fits perfectly and has a hard finish, which is what I wanted for wearing while working in the woods and in fields with burrs and beggar lice (or whatever you call those things that stick to clothing}. I like fleece and wool, but don't like to spend an hour picking plant life with talons off my shirts. I expect the heavier canvas shirts made by Carhartt are more like the "canvas" I thought this would be, but there wasn't a heavy one available in my size when I ordered this one.
