I hiked the first time with them for 7 miles and had no problems. Haven't tried them in wet weather, yet.

I need a wide sole because of ball of the foot nerve issues, and this gives that without a too wide heel. I will say it stretched a bit after the wet hike, but an insole solved that. It's definitely waterproof and feels stable without too much weight.
