By flyrodder68 from Lewistown, MT on 09/01/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After using a furled leader for two years, I have to say that a simple tapered mono leader still has its place in the fly fishing world. Not that the furled leader is bad but, it just doesn't deliver small flies like the standard tapered leader does. And this SA tapered leader from STP is just the ticket to get a reliable, great value leader. Standard mono tapered leader won't last you as long as the furled but it will deliver the small flies nicely. If one doesn't mind replacing leader every few solid outings, this SA leader from STP is the way to go. If one wants a long lasting leader, I would recommend the furled leader.
