Not only practical, but pretty as well! I ordered them in size 6, and found them to be extremely small lengthwize. I returned them for a 6-1/2. They are comfortable only if I wear extremely thin socks, but I am going to keep them. I love the brown/mauve color and they look great with jeans and casual slacks. Another nice feature is that the leather does not seem to stain my light colored socks which has happened with many other new shoes. I've worn them twice so far, but have not walked more than 10 blocks at a time. I'll have to see how they feel on longer walks.

They're my first pair of Merrells, and they're really great. They're really cute, although they don't necessarily go with every casual outfit, but are such a great alternative to sneakers. I ordered these ones in black in a 1/2 size larger due to reading numerous reviews. Honestly, I can't tell a big difference between the two sizes but the black ones heal rubs my ankle a bit. Nothing that can't be solved by one of those cushion heel sticky objects. I love the look of them and that they are comfortable enough to wear with a 9-5 desk job and are fancy enough without all the discomfort. I am glad that sierra trading post was able to fulfill the my need for comfortable work shoes at a decent price!
