I used them for a climb on Katahdin in ME this week and came to appreciate their ability to keep my feet dry on a trail that looked more like a stream bed. I can hike all day in them and come home without thinking about taking them off. Wish I had bought several pairs. My feet are narrow and these are a bit wide, but don't seem to slip.
