By Mom in idaho from Idaho on 11/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Awesome comfortable shoe for my son. He wears a 6 to 6 1/2 normally and the size 7 fit him perfectly. He says they are soft and his feet stay dry here in idaho. Hope they last all winter.
A great daily winter boot By OregonPlayer from Pacific Northwest on 11/15/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Everyday, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Last year I had tried Columbia's Icetrel II boots, and loved them. Unfortunately, my pair was defective and failed after a few months and I was not able to replace them (size unavailable). So since then I have been on the look out for a similar boot, and tried these. I've only owned them for a couple months, but I am very pleased. They run just a tad small and have a short break-in period, so don't worry if they at first feel a little tight. I find them quite comfortable (even for someone with wide feet) and they do give some ankle support without being restrictive. I wouldn't recommend them for rough work or, say, aggressive adventuring - not built stoutly enough for that. But as a daily winter boot to run outside and shovel snow, bring groceries in, misc light work etc., they seem perfect. They look good too, so I wouldn't think twice of throwing them on and going into town. The traction seems good; certainly quite adequate. They're slender and not bulky in appearance, thus they look good and they feel good - not clumsly or heavy at all. And even in single degree temps this week, my feet have stayed toasty warm. They're stated as waterproof and have proved to be so (though admittedly I have not tested this to any great extent). All in all, comfortable, warm, stylish... a great boot at the Sierra price!
By BAS from Northern Alabama on 11/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: First pair of boots I've even owned that didn't make my feet sweat. Very comfortable. I immediately bought a second pair to wear standing around at soccer games after trying out the first pair I use for hiking.
