The 36" seems a little loose in the waist compared to all his other prAna pants, but at 70% cotton they may shrink a bit in the wash. Sadly, no crotch inset so they won't be good for climbing. However, he loves the light weight and breathability of the fabric and says they are his new hiking pants! They look nice enough for work, too.
The roll-up snaps are low profile and useful, since his other pants cuffs always fall back down as he moves.

These don't stretch, but are otherwise perfect. They roll up if you need them to, and generally look great and feel good.

My other 36 waist Prana pants have fit nicely but these felt snug below the belt around the mid hips. I had to return them.
Otherwise these lightweight synthetic pants are great for hot days when shorts leave one exposed to bugs and poison oak.
