He is usually a pretty easy fit--buy his size and he can typically wear it. These shoes, however, were too narrow. I asked if they just needed to be broken in, but he determined that they were much too narrow to break them in. We had to return them. It was unfortunate because they are very nice looking shoes. The leather is heavy duty, and the "mottled" apearance looked very nice.
