Some came off, most stayed on. The fabric struck me as extremely strange and I did not try the sweater on. Woolrich is my favorite sweater maker and this was my first disappointment with one of their sweaters. Perhaps I got a defective selection. I returned this but I will absolutely continue to buy Woolrich products.
