Even top name manufacters. When I receive a new article I always put a drop of crazy glue on the back side of the threads that hold the buttons on. It keeps the threads from unraveling. Problem solved.

I exchanged it for a Columbia quilted overshirt, as I was really looking for something to wear indoors on sub-zero days, not outdoors on sub-zero days. This coat could keep a wife warm at a Bears game.
